Betadine mouthwash and gargle is a pleasantly flavoured oral antiseptic and disinfectant solution that contains 1% povidone-iodine USP solution used to kill germs that cause mouth infections such as bacteria, viruses, fungi, spores and protozoa within 30 seconds. It is used to treat oral infections like sore throat, mouth ulcers, swelling of gums, mouth wounds and oral thrush. It is non-staining to teeth, skin and natural fabrics.
