Brand: Sensodent
- Sensodent KF Dental Gel is a medicated oral gel designed to manage dentinal hypersensitivity (commonly known as tooth hypersensitivity). Dentinal hypersensitivity causes increased pain when teeth come in contact with hot, cold, sweet, or acidic substances like hot tea, cold drinks or sweet food etc.
- How to Use:
- Apply Sensodent KF Dental Gel similarly to regular toothpaste.
- Apply on your teeth twice daily using your toothbrush. (use a soft bristle one if available) or your finger.
- Focus on sensitive areas for an extended duration.
- Precautions:
- Not recommended for children below 7 years of age.
- Do not swallow the tooth gel.
- Consult a dentist if your tooth pain or sensitivity problem persists after more than four weeks of use
- The gel contains two active ingredients:
- Potassium Nitrate Topical (5% w/w): Reduces dentinal sensitivity by accumulating potassium on the tooth surface. This forms a protective layer that desensitizes nerves inside the tooth, making them unresponsive to external stimuli.
- Sodium Monofluoro Phosphate Topical (0.7% w/w): Strengthens tooth enamel and prevents demineralization. It also supports the remineralization of previously degraded teeth.
- How do the two key Ingredients work?
- Potassium Nitrate: Desensitizing agent.
- Sodium Monofluoro Phosphate: Anti-caries action, strengthens enamel, and promotes remineralization (repair and strengthening of tooth enamel)
